Will the First Blast of News be that Terri Schiavo has died? Not to-day, I guess. Will it be tomorrow? The next day? The day after that?
Anybody else have this fear?

Personally, I will be relieved for all involved, not happy, but relieved. Her death would mean that her 15 year death process will finally take the last tiny step. The minority of people in this country that are against the decision as I know you are Tom, are largely afraid of a bad precedent. Once this is all over, I think that everyone will see that there is no precedent. The law is the same as it was, it almost always works with no conflict, and it will almost never reach the kind of fever pitch that this case has.
The family, in what I believe to be their delusional belief that a miracle would make their daughter think and feel again, found a friend with some right-to-life groups, and got a big media push behind it. It seems that most Americans saw through that push, and decided that they were overstepping, and letting ideology completely overrun medical facts. All I can say is, I strongly believe that this country is not going to be any better or worse off for this when it is all over. The longer it continues, the longer we Americans tear each other apart.

The next time some Democrat asks me where I was when Kennedy was killed, I'll ask them where they were when Schiavo was killed. They, of course, will think that I will mean where were they physically, whereas my intention is where were they when Schiavo needed someone to stand up for her.

There were a number of Democrats who did vote in favor of Terri Schiavo. But I'm afraid their voices will be drowned out by the pro-death forces in their party. Still, we shouldn't forget those Democrats who did side with Terri in her hour of need.

Dear God,
I personally am praying for a miracle. I pray God will allow Terri to wake up and scream: I am a person & I am hungry. This will have to wake up all the courts, Judges and the stupid people saying:let Terri die.For God sake all the nations of the world are watching us(and GOD) What do we think they are saying?? Whom will this country kill next? seniors? disabled children? We have more laws to protect animals.Wake up America?? Is this America??

Now, Jesse Jackson has come to Terri's bedside. Hasn't she suffered enough?
