From Rhino Handmade:
Best known as the creator of Dragnet, Jack Webb was at a creative peak at the close of the 1950s when he recorded two albums for the then-just-launching Warner Bros. Records. Both of these are now available on a single disc titled Just The Tracks, Ma'am: The Warner Bros. Recordings.
It was while making Pete Kelly's Blues and The D.I. for Warner Bros. Pictures that Webb was offered the opportunity to make these albums. The first of these, You're My Girl: Romantic Reflections by Jack Webb, was released in 1958 on the new label. Imagine, if you would, Sgt. Friday reading "Deep Thoughts" and then add a sumptuous musical bed of lush Billy May orchestrations, and you pretty much get the idea.

WOW! Talk about an insane coincidence! I just found out literally a few hours ago that a supervisor I know in a department near mine at work is the author of this book on Dragnet! Crazy!
