The Overstock.com spokesmodel shares her thoughts in this excerpt from Fave Foods of the Famous:
Q: The average American knows only a little about German food. So, what dishes would most suit the average American's taste?
A: I grew up in Hamburg, and the cuisine there is completely different from the rest of Germany. It has a lot of seafood and potatoes. My mom tried hard and she learned to make a delicious Sauerbraten from my grandmother. We all just wanted noodles and sauces all the time. I don't cook that way. We eat more like Californians, but I just LOVE to eat anything with Spaetzle, which is a kind of pasta, topped with sauce when I go home. I think Americans would go crazy over all the great cold cuts and sausages we have.
And the bread! There's nothing that compares to the fresh rolls, pretzels and loaves of freshly baked bread. Just the smell of the bakery is enough to make you want to eat everything. Should I start on the pastries now? During our last visit, my 8-year-old son couldn't get enough of the 'Berliners,' which are basically a jelly-filled donut, covered in sugar!
The article also includes a recipe for Sabine's Lentil, Barley and Bacon Soup.

JFK said that he was a Berliner.
Mmmmmmm...donuts.
That article was no good. It didn't have a picture of her.

Is Sabine Ehrenfeld a swimmer? If so, can she wear a one-piece swimsuit in future Overstock.com commercial ads where she can dive into the water and start swimming underwater?
