From The Weather Channel:
As for why she got into the television business, Dao acknowledges that she did it more for love than money. "When I was a kid, I always loved watching the news. When I got to college at the University of Washington and was thinking about career options, a friend asked me what I'd do if I didn't care about making money. I said I'd love to report the news, and so that's what I pursued," she explains, adding "Follow your heart." Like most people, Dao Vu has a memorable personal weather experience, hers a frightening one. It happened in August of 2004. The month that Dao moved to the state of Florida turned out to be during one of the most active hurricane seasons in recent history. She says that the thought of being in the path of a hurricane never crossed my mind, but less than three weeks later she experienced the terror of Hurricane Charley, followed by Frances and Jeanne. "I seriously thought I was going to die during Frances' fury. I got caught in the tail end of the storm while traveling the back roads home from Jacksonville to Orlando. It looked like a scene from the Twilight Zone with downed power lines, abandoned cars, trees and debris everywhere, dark ominous clouds and horizontal rain. It was scary!" she remembers.
In her free time and under non-severe weather conditions -- Dao likes to be outside. Activities include going for a swim, riding her bike, eating at an outdoor restaurant or just "hanging out on my deck," she says. Santa Barbara is her favorite vacation spot. She describes it as -- "It's not too hot and it's not too cold. I like a little bit of rain and some sun, and not much humidity."
Dao says that one thing about her that people are surprised to learn is that she is a twin. And she also has twin cousins. Another thing that surprises people is her height. She reveals -- "Most people think I'm pretty tall. Then they meet me in real life and they're in for a shock."

Through her approachable, friendly and unaffected manner, Dao Vu provides an example of why so many men--irrespective of race--prefer Asian women. She's pretty/cute, slender and intelligent.
The only reason I watch Weekend View is to see her. I notice she's been absent lately, so I hope she's not moving on...I know, it's selfish of me, but...I gotta have my cuppa Dao with my cuppa Joe.
