Why Real Men Need Knitting Needles
Annie gets her gun, locks, loads, and fires:
B. Hussein Obama's announcement also included this gem: "I know that I haven't spent a lot of time learning the ways of Washington. But I've been there long enough to know that the ways of Washington must change." As long as Obama insists on using Hallmark card greetings in his speeches, he could at least get Jesse Jackson to help him with the rhyming. . . .
There was also this inspirational nugget: "Each and every time, a new generation has risen up and done what's needed to be done. Today we are called once more, and it is time for our generation to answer that call." Is this guy running for president or trying to get people to switch to a new long-distance provider?
This guy's like the ANWR of trite political aphorisms. There's no telling exactly how many he's sitting on, but it could be in the billions. ... I can't wait for Obama's inaugural address when he reveals that he loves long walks in the rain, sunsets, and fresh-baked cookies shaped like puppies.
The guy I feel sorry for is Harold Ford. The former representative from Tennessee is also black, a Democrat, about the same age as Obama, and is every bit as attractive. The difference is, when he talks, you don't fantasize about plunging knitting needles into your ears to stop the gusher of meaningless platitudes.

Ann, if we would have spent the multi-billions of dollars spent in Iraq thus far on homeland security, just think, we would have an in-permeable fortress by now. The bulk of the world's populous wouldn't hate us and they would still be on our side. And yes, the world would be a safer place. As to the bulk of most of your rhetoric I have one comment that I think pretty well sums it up: BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, AND BAH! Most sincerely, Byron

Yep, Byron, all those successful attacks on the USA since 9/11 sure do point out the futility of the Iraq strategy...

Why do both you and Ann both insist on using Obama's middle name? It's clear why you are both using it, and it's for nothing but ad hominem attacks, or at the very least purposeful misleading purposes, putting the idea in people's heads that he is Muslim.
Hi Tom, it's been awhile, but I figured I'd stop by and say hello. Hope all's well with you and yours, as it is with mine. *:-)

I've been wondering if the reason Obama's support seems to be a bit youthfull is that maybe a lot of these people haven't heard all this stuff before so much. They're like, "That guy's for CHANGE? Well, I'm definetely voting for him then."

Jack Benny had a good bit of fun once with Fred Allen's middle name of "Florence". Same sort of tweaking with Hussein.
