Since I subscribed, I got the original before a lot of newsstands trashed the issue. It was reprinted in one of their "special editions," too.

NatLamp was by far the finest humor magazine in history, and managed to offend almost everyone. One Easter issue, with a chocolate Biafran baby on the cover, with its head bitten through, was typical of its vigorous satire.

Loved it -- sorry to see it died out. I have every issue they printed, carefully saved. Which makes me as sick as they were, undoubtedly.

Really good satire has an element of truth to it, which is what makes this classic parody spectacular, because it's probably true.

I thought it was awesome when I first saw it in high school 37 years ago. It's still wonderfully edgy and offensive.
