I'm a conservative who thinks we should follow the whole Bible, including:
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks be made for all men for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 1 Timothy 2:1-2

or:
Honor the king. 1 Peter 2:17

or:
Romans 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except by God’s appointment, and the authorities that exist have been instituted by God. 2 So the person who resists such authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will incur judgment [...]
6 For this reason you also pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants devoted to governing. 7 Pay everyone what is owed: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.

wow! wouldn't *that* be interesting to hear on talk radio?

I wholeheartedly support free speech. It's trawling for assassins that makes me a tad uneasy.

Strikes me more as 'Pray Away Obama'. More bad sportsmanship, really.

Psalm 109 ends with "For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul."

H'mm, standing at the right hand of the poor does not seem like a conservative sentiment. Comments? Perhaps you can explain this from the context; I can't.

The psalm seems a bit paranoid, and, if King David really wrote it, he sure is complaining and poor mouthing a lot. I thought conservatives were optimistic up and at 'em sorts. That's what they tell me, anyhow.

Oh, well.

I wish I had video evidence to demonstrate how completely out of control I was when hurling down the rocky mountainside on an extremely light bike which I felt I had no control over. No sooner than I would hit a rock as it would redirect me into a bush on the side of the trail. I am still quite shocked I was not thrown over the handle bars as was my biggest fear throughout the "advanced" downhill part of the trail.
