GreatNews, The Free Desktop RSS Reader Client That Synchronizes With Bloglines And Works With iRider

Advantages:

  1. Because it's a desktop RSS reader, it's much faster than reading Bloglines on the web.
  2. It syncs with Bloglines, and marks the online entries as read.
  3. GreatNews is to Bloglines as Outlook is to Yahoo!Mail.
  4. If you're at a different computer, you can still read Bloglines on the web.
  5. But GreatNews installs and runs on a USB drive, so you can take it with you.
  6. If you've set up iRider as your default browser, then clicking an entry in GreatNews will open it in iRider.

If you use Bloglines as your RSS reader, iRider will let you surf ahead as you fly through your links. A great combination, trust me.

The iRider Browser: Schedule and Automate Your Surfing

Some websites you want to visit every day, others every week, others just once a month. Put them in an iRider favorites book so you don't miss a thing.

The iRider Browser: The Next Page Button

Click Next Page (or the F4 key) to go instantly to the next downloaded page that you haven't visited yet. Next Page visits downloaded pages until you've visited all of them. You can rapidly traverse an entire site — or at least the stuff you're interested in — without having to think about where you are, where you've been, and whether you've seen everything you wanted to see. If your current page is taking too long to download, click Next Page to go to one that's finished; when the first page is done, Next Page will return to it.

The iRider Browser: Open Several Links At Once

Select several links and right-click to surf ahead and open them all at once while you stay on the currect page. Put your fast Internet connection to work for you: open entire piles of pages and flip through them as fast as you like.

The iRider Browser: Surf Ahead

By right-clicking a link, the iRider browser loads the page in the background while you continue looking at the current page. This feature is called "Surf Ahead". When you're done with a page, the next one's usually ready instantly. Pages wait for you — you don't wait for them.

The iRider Browser: The Page List

A visual map of all the pages you are browsing. One of the many reasons I find browsing with iRider to be 10x faster than Internet Explorer. It's even better than Firefox or other tabbed browsers.
