The revelation that Jean LaFitte was Jewish is as big a bombshell to me as when I found out that the quintessential New York Jewish Comic Jackie Mason was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. I saw The Buccaneer as a kid many years ago in the theater, and was very impressed. Oddly, even though it was Cecil B. DeMille's last movie, it's not out in DVD, although you can get the soundtrack. And it was directed by old Zorba himself, Anthony Quinn.
Maybe Mel Brooks could make a new movie emphasizing LaFitte's Jewishness: "I can get it for you wholesale" jokes, that sort of thing. But a Jewish pirate, had you ever even imagined such a thing? Me neither.
I hope these tips have given you some useful information on roofs. Father arrived in Melbourne an incredibly sick man, anf the husband immediately underwent treatment by specialists for his throat trouble. Much maudlin sentimentally, and far empty declaration, are already written and spoken about crime, and up against the punishment of criminals with death.

They're affordable and inexpensive. For example they'll say anything like: 12 or older, or above 6-[[3]]s old. Staying in inns is completely different than staying in a hotel.

This really is still another Steven Spielberg movie that became extremely popular. Overall, these shows sasve the energy utility by about 25-35%. Are shows practical for English language-teaching?

They require a concrete pad with a minimum thickness of 4 inches with steel reinforced cross bars throughout. In this cheaper system, the shell or hot tub prices Tub of the unit and the amenities. You may want lights for your hot tub when you make such an investment, it is meant to be exhaustive but designed to touch on a few key points.

If my Great Grandfather was Jewish, I am surely a sinner, and so were his descendants, for we all would rather eat pork Cracklin's than any other meal...!!!

Houses are expensive and not every person can buy it. However, loans are invented to support different people in such kind of cases.

If you are willing to buy real estate, you will have to receive the loans. Furthermore, my mother commonly utilizes a student loan, which supposes to be really reliable.

It would be interesting if a confirmed descendant would submit to DNA testing. Might answer some of these questions!

You really can't believe anyone on this issue, one way or the other. There's not enough evidence and too much prejudice. There is little or no evidence that the Lafittes were of Jewish ancestry. Some Spanish Jews did flee to the part of France from which his family came. Some have the same name to this day, but so do Christian families. They certainly were not practicing Jews. Nor practicing Christians for that matter. The baptisms were how you recorded kids in that time, and their mistresses were certainly Catholic (and black).

As a converso, or sephardic Spanish Jews who were forced to convert, if you did not outwardly practice Catholicism you were a likely candidate for the auto da fe, or being burned alive by the Inquisition. After 500 years only a small miniscule fraction of the hundreds of thousands of their descendants in the Americas are even aware of their Jewish ancestry.

His Grandmother was Jewish and like many others the family converted to Catholicism to avoid execution or persecution.

If Lafitte was Jewish then why did he and his brother baptize their children Catholic? The records of the baptisms can be found in the records at St Louis Cathedral in New Orleans.
Can't wait to hear the explanation for this one!

[1] Who cares?
[2] Along with "I can get [steal?] it for you wholesale jokes" how about some saber circumcisions?

Like Hitler's diaries, the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, and so many other forgeries of history, alas, Lafitte could not in reality claim to be a descendant of David. According to the Lafitte Society of Galveston Texas, and most if not all recorded and witnessed accounts of Lafitte's life, and despite his film portrayal by both Frederic March and Yul Brynner, we will just have to accept him for what he was. A pirate, smuggler, and slave runner of French extraction. To those who would like to "zionize" the world. Sorry, but no dice.
