The other side to Just One Of Those Thanksgivings, Part 1:
- While it's not easy for the rest of us, isn't dying in your bed at home after a short illness when you're 80 a pretty good way to go, all things considered?
- My wife's getting better, and it could have been lots worse. Probably home on Thursday.
- Lots of options besides insulin these days.
- He's getting a new wheelchair soon. Gonna see if they can add an armrest to the old one in the meantime.
- He was hungry. Spaghetti.
- Maybe I'll get hundreds of thousands of new visitors from the Interfaith Conference and they'll all find the Google Ads so fascinating that they'll click on each one.
And The Big One: We have friends to help us out. My Dad has folks helping him right now, and some friends up here bought us a complete Thanksgiving Dinner for the family, and all we have to do is to pick it up at Sentry. And then eat it while we watch the 9-1 Packers play Detroit. Lots to be thankful for, indeed.
So glad that your wife might get to be home on Thanksgiving...hope the Doc lets her have some turkey!
God Bless!

THIS is why I read every word on this site on a daily basis. Hooray for you, Tom! Hooray for your wife and son, and I hope that you all gain happiness beyond your wildest dreams. Happy Thanksgiving!

Our biggest problem this Thanksgiving is we can't get anyone to accept our invitation to share dinner with us.
Praise God your wife is getting better; I pray your mom's homegoing is as smooth as possible, and thanks for the tip on the spaghetti cure.
